Château de Bellet

In 1777, the King of Sardinia granted the Barons of Bellet, who originally came from Savoy, their noble title. During the 18th century, the Barons established their estate and passed on their name to the appellation. The vineyards are planted 250-300 m above sea level, facing the blue Mediterranean Sea on one side and the Alps and the Var valley on the other side. Today, Château de Bellet, covers 13 ha of vines and its average yield is 25hl/ha. The vineyards are cultivated with the greatest of respect of the ecosystem and the terroir, using organic farming methods. Château de Bellet wines have been served during some of the most important occasions such as the Versailles Summit (1982), Nice European Summit (2000), NATO Summit (2005). More recently the wine was served at the wedding of Prince Albert of Monaco and Princess Charlène.
